We have hit a snag in our plugin development due to differences between 5.1 and 5.5 with respect to creating actions. The issue that we are facing is we need to have a "Create a new custom object action" associated with our custom objects. Imagine a situation where our custom objects have not been created and we want the "Create a new custom object action" to enable our users to create a new object i.e our table is initially empty and upon successful creation the table will have 1 entry. The issue with 5.1 is that the action shows up only when there are (selected) objects in the table below and in 5.5 we are able to globally create actions which are always present independent of whether there are any entries in the table.
We need a way to define a global action in 5.1.
