Hiding custom objects

Is there a way to hide custom object based on certain conditions similar to how we filter extension points?

EDIT:

When I say custom objects, I mean namespaces that we can define. (like chassis, rack in the samples)

1. Can I hide a view that shows these objects dynamically? (like not appear on a related objects tab if a certain flag is not set or for certain users)
2. Can I hide it from the inventory list dynamically? For example, if I do not want certain users to be able to see the 'rack' namespace in the inventory list but I do want it to appear under the related objects tab of certain objects.
